Rahina 30 Whiringa-a nuku

Monday 30 October

Ghosts and goblins are already invading the school, turning children into monsters! Fake blood was everywhere!

We went to hear the Auckland Dive identification team. They are looking for talent in diving. The kids loved the assessment. Some children stood out and received named letters. Others thought it may be their thing and took home the letter. It is below.

As part of our Inquiry, we looked at the Atlas and where places are in the world. We found places where we had come from or that we identified with like Tonga, Samoa, Kirabas, Australia, South Africa , India, ...

We baked Halloween biscuits and made Halloween popcorn, old fashioned style.

Only 7 children chose tocook their dough. The rest ate it raw/ uncooked.

They were crunchy and spicy.

Here is the easy recipe.

A note has come home for some children about the $50 camp refund. If you have not seen it please contact the office.

Library was today. We enjoyed listening to a new picture book "The Dead bird", and deciding where it should go. Picture books or sophisticated picture books.
